We’ve all heard of Black Friday - unless maybe you just now crawled out of the incredibly well-stocked bomb shelter dad sealed you in during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In which case, welcome to the year 2009. Nowadays, we not only have Black Friday, our online up-to-the-second culture now has this thing called Cyber Monday.
What is Cyber Monday? It’s a term coined for the first Monday after the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, where folks splurge with online shopping.

The Atomic Theory of Motorcycles, the whole lock stock and barrel of it all, came to me in a revelation as I leaned against a wooden pier staring at a BMW K1300GT. I was pitched backward, completely trusting my weight to the solid backing of the pier on Newport, Oregon’s waterfront.

Mr. Hatterly would be proud. More than a decade ago my high school chemistry teacher dutifully attempted to teach me how to convert grams per liter to… I don’t know, feet per second. I don’t remember any of it except that switching a combination of units of stuff, to another combination of units of stuff ain’t easy for me. Yet, somehow (crash the big gong in your brain), I think I may have just successfully transmuted km/l to mpg with a pen and paper.
