Motorcycle USA often gets story submissions, or reader requests for story ideas they’d like to see. But a recent email was a new animal altogether - the demo clip for a TV show pilot dubbed “Geezer’s Garage.” The name seems self explanatory, but here’s how the show was pitched to us:

“Think American Chopper meets Mayberry. Three old guys that ran together in the 50's and 60's reunite to build beautiful bobbers, renew old friendships and bust each others balls. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll pop you're clutch.”

Is it ready for primetime? Better or worse than the motorcycle programming riders have already?

I'd watch it. I've watched the biker build off show/series and liked the mix of countries, mechanics, styles and camaraderie/brotherhood. But haven't wasted time watching that dysfunctional inbred family's show - the whole family' skills combined does not total 1/2 of a true bike builder; they are an embarrassment to bikers and to the human race. The old geezers start off slow & fart around but once they get going you can see they do know how to work on and build bikes. Yep, I'd watch it.

Wife and I watched it - we'd watch the show... we don't bother with the other chopper show... we ride and we are more interested in working motorcycles than faddish fashion statements.

Oh man...You bet! These guys are awesome. Great format. Capably edited and nicely formatted. Please, bring it on. If there isn't enough material to commit for strip programming, combine and alternate with a couple other similar formatted shows like Pete's Garage (Pete Gaggan), Antique Motorcycle Roadshow (Google it...) and bundle/sell them as a package.
I know several folks that would (will?) definitely be committed fans!

Get these guys on the air! That clip was great. I wish there was more. I wanted to hear more of the stories of yester year and see them build some bikes. These guys are true charecters! I think it would be a hit. Give them a series for one season and put them on tour on bike show circuit and they'll draw crowds of old schoolers and even plenty of new young bloods!

Yeah, I would tune in to this one. The guys are great and I bet they get involved in some cool shit. I really don't give a crap about choppers and Harleys - and all the bike/car shop shows I see float somewhere between boring and stupid. Even the guy who brought the bike in for them seemed like a Dick. But I would like to sit around the shop table and listen to these guys a lot more. Tell me where and when! And -- maybe the Commando won the race, but it didn't win the noise!

What a great show! More, more! It would be really nice to see a show about bike building, with actual bike building and no drama. Having the comedic aspects makes it even better...these guys have some great lines, and good timing, and it would be great to be able to see more of them. Please, someone pick it up!
