Description: There are a few places that seem to be lost in time and Shelter Cove is one of them. Shelter Cove is an unincorporated residential resort community located in Humboldt County on the Lost Coast of California. It is a secret that powered hang glider pilots know well too. The small airstrip allows unrestricted access to some of the most amazing coastline on the Northern California Coast. Motorcycle riders can have fun here too - at least getting here anyway. The Briceland Thorn Road is curvy and exciting plus, when you get to the end...you get to ride it back to Garberville.
