Description: This is the best technological tour of Florida you can get from the seat of your motorcycle. Make sure to check with Port Authority for road access through the NASA base before embarking on the ride unless you dont mind improvization. This hundred mile ride is a tour of the famous Cape Canaveral region. There's more than just rockets and shuttles out here but the best destination by far has to be Kennedy Space Center (866-737-5235) - Short of becoming an astronaut, there’s no better way to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Kennedy Space Center than on the Kennedy Space Center Tour (KSC Tour). Take a NASA bus for a panoramic view of space shuttle launch pads at the LC-39 Observation Gantry, and then experience the historic Apollo 8 launch and marvel at a massive 363-foot-long Saturn V moon rocket at the Apollo/Saturn V Center. The KSC Tour is included with admission and departs every 15 minutes from the Visitor Complex.
THe wild side of things can be found at Canaveral National Seashore: Situated on a barrier island along Florida's east coast, inviting park highlights include pristine, undeveloped beach, dunes and lagoon offering sanctuary to an abundant blend of plants and animals. Year-round recreation includes fishing, boating, canoeing, surfing, sunbathing, swimming, hiking, camping, nature and historical trails.
