Description: The Gold Rush Byway is a motorcycle journey through Nebraska's gold mining heritage. Highway 385 once had nearly a quarter million dollars worth of gold transported on it daily in the late 1800s. You might not find any debris left on the side of the road but you will get a chance to ride this historic route. Courthouse and Jail Rocks near Bridgeport are two of the first rock formations pioneers came across on their way west. You might not be impressed so make sure to stop by Carhenge outside of Alliance and witness the spectacle of Stonehenge reproduced with cars instead of rocks. Only in America my friends...
