Description: Take a day-long journey through the Texas Hill Country west of Austin. The route passes through Pedernales Falls State Park and by LBJ National Historic Park. Stop for lunch in the quaint city of Fredericksburg before heading to the giant granite dome and caves of the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. Return on roads less traveled through the twisties and switch-backs around Willow City. The return route also passes by another of the region's popular most popular swimming holes, Hamilton Pool with its 50-foot waterfall. The ride is even more spectacular in spring when the bluebonnets are in bloom.
