This 86-mile loop takes riders from the foothills of Salt Lake City up through Emigration Canyon, following pioneer roads to SR-65, looping north past East Canyong Resevoir to Morgan and Henefer.

Directions: From Salt Lake City: Follow Emigration Canyon to Utah SR 65 north to East Canyon Resevoir, left on SR 66 to Morgan, East on I-84 to Henefer south on SR 65, retracing route back to Salt Lake City.
Description: This 86.5-mile loop begins and ends in Salt Lake City. The route follows Emigration canyon to Utah state route 65, which connects I-80 and I-84. SR 65 is the most scenic section of this ride to East Canyon Resevoir. At East Canyon riders can loop up to Morgan and Henefer either via SR65 or SR66, then retracing the steps back to SLC. Route highlights are the drop into the East Canyon drainage. The Emigration Canyon trail follows the original pioneer path into the Salt Lake Valley.

Great ride! I do this at least once a week during Summer. Got to stop at the top of Emigration Rd for a view of Dell Reservoir. Then go on to East Canyon Rd for great corners and another stop at at the Morgan County Line for an amazing photo oportunity of the mountain valleys below.
Must stop at Historic Morgan Ut. For great eats and a Biker hang-out @ Kellys.

Love this ride. Takes me back to college days. A beautiful day ride up Emigration Canyon. The drop into East Canyon amazing, worth pulling out at the summit before the drop and taking in the view.
