Attacked Olympic Swimmer Hangs onto Vespa

Thursday, July 1, 2010
Decorated former Olympic swimmer Jenny Thompson survived a disturbing experience when thugs attempted to steal her Vespa scooter.

Two men attacked Thompson, a 12-time Olympic medalist, while she was riding on her Vespa scooter one evening in Brookline, Massachusetts. Approaching with the lights on their car out, the assailants got out of the vehicle and proceeded to attack the 37-year-old, presumably for the scooter.
Looks fast standing still.
What sort of degenerate twerp tries to beat up a lady on a Vespa scooter? That ain't right!

“The first thing they did was punch me in the face, so my gut told me to fight. It was fight or flight,” said Thompson in a video interview on CBS-Boston station WBZ-TV.

The eight-time gold medalist fought off the attackers, who fled without the scooter. Thompson only received minor injuries from the scrap.

Go Jenny for defending yourself! What a sad sad incident, no doubt though they will reap what they have sown, God bless you and stay safe. Maybe carry mace or take krav maga.
