Triumph’s Final Tiger Tease, We Hope
Thursday, October 7, 2010
will hold off the final reveal of its Tiger 800 for November’s EICMA Milan Bike Show, with the British marque debuting its 2011 Speed Triple
and new Thunderbird Storm
at INTERMOT this week. Instead the only news regarding the new Tiger was yet another teaser video from the company’s Triumph Adventure microsite
Clear as mud... 'See' the new Tiger 800 at Triumph's microsite that's been promoting the new model for going on month four...
The latest vid touts more than 50 accessories that will adorn the future models – provided they ever materialize out of this four-month long marketing schpeel! The touring folks can get hard luggage panniers and top box, with tank and tail bag accessories. The dirt folks have headlamp protectors, fog lights and skid plates to protect that burbling 800 Triple. And there’s accessory clothing too, and blah, blah, blah…
The latest video is another official marketing goad, with the run-up for this all-new Tiger seeming to have lasted all… year… long… Get on with it please. Not sure if this irritation comes out of curiosity for seeing this bike once and for all, or because it’s actually worked as we’ve dutifully reported on each and every partial reveal.
Anyway, the latest video does deliver some of the best footage of the new Tiger in action. Spy shots of the new Trumpet can be had at your Google Image pleasure. We’re still waiting for the official shots from Triumph, sometime in the year 2010.
