This is in regards to the "internet" department only, because I've never visited their dealership in person. I've bought my last two vehicles out of state so I didn't think it would be any problem shopping online for the best price on a v-strom. I found Berts online. Getting a straight answer out of these people is impossible. After 4 days of back and forth they finally offered me a price, but then refused to break it down. (I wanted to know how a $7299 advertised sale turned into $9882 out the door). That's $2583. Tax is $583. Tags *might* be that again, so we're up to $1100, roughly. $1400 is a large dealer fee! But I digress, it's their price to set I just wanted it broken down. (Advertisement here, btw: bertsmegamall.com/custom…) They basically refused to deal with me over e-mail, and the couple of times I spoke with them on the phone it was standard b.s. dealer stuff. THEIR exact word was "leverage." They needed me in the dealership because they had more leverage over me there. I laughed. I was also constantly passed around, no fewer than 4 people. Then after simply ignoring my last message (no response for several days), I got the final insult, a message asking if I was "still in the market?" ( I say insult because they had already clearly rejected my business, not sure why the follow-up). Like I said, I've bought my last two new vehicles through different internet departments in two different states and have had great experiences with both. Bert's, however, is NOT an internet department. It's a "leverage" department, just to get people in the door, apparently. I'm glad I learned my lesson at a distance.

Had a great experience here, salesman I worked with went through all the different options and made sure I found the right bike. Will be coming back to service here and the parts department is incredible! a+ for sales and hopefully parts and service in the future !

I bought a new touring motorcycle from Berts a few weeks ago, and was told the bike would be cleaned, prepped and ready to go for me the next day. I was also told it would be test ridden very shortly to make sure all was good. I picked it up the next day, the bike still had all the stickers, price tag, was not cleaned or prepped at all, they didn't even touch it. When I rode the bike home, on the way, I tried adjusting the right mirror slightly, when I tried adjusting it, it came loose and just dangled off the handlebars! The owners manual and rear shock spanner wrench were missing, they told me they would have them for me in the next few days... it's been almost three weeks and all I get is excuses as to why they're not in yet. I will never take my bike to Berts for service there, I don't feel comfortable with them working on my bike, when they can't even ensure the bike is ready to be ridden home... oh, and they didn't ride the bike to test it out, the odometer had 0.0 miles on it when I turned it on. I will also never order parts or accessories from them, I'm still waiting on the manual and spanner wrench. I'm just really sorry I didn't take my business someplace else where I would be treated better. The previous dealership I dealt with, Merced Power Sports in California, was 100 times better than Berts, before, during, and after the sale, but I've since moved from central California.
