Behind the Scenes: ZX-6R vs. IOM
Thursday, February 14, 2013
I’m sure most of you have by now had a chanch to catch Kawasaki’s latest commercial for the 2013 ZX-6R, in which the TT Racer James Hiller blasts the latest Supersport Ninja though the famed Isle of Man TT course. It’s one epic piece of film work, especially for a motorcycle commercial. As a video buff, I was immediately smitten by the slow-mo shots of Hiller grazing stone walls and sliding to the very edge of damp roadways. Then there are the aerial images – beautiful, just beautiful. It had to be expensive. The production had to be huge. This couldn’t have been any ordinary commercial shoot. It wasn’t.
Kawasaki has been dropping teaser videos for the last week or so, building up to the release of “The Making of ‘The Ninja ZX-6R vs The Isle of Man’” and I’ve been watching the clock until the video was set live earlier today. Just check out the amount of equipment and manpower Kawasaki threw at this shoot. It’s impressive to say the least, if not epic.
