$220 BMW Package for Miller World SBK
Monday, April 16, 2012
has a sweet deal lined up for the World Superbike races at Miller Motorsports Park (May 26-28). Held on Memorial Day Weekend, the MMP World SBK round delivers world-class road racing to Salt Lake City, Utah, and Beemer fans can get in on all the action for a special $220 packaged deal. (Available at millermotorsportspark.com/bmw
The $220 BMW Fan Package comes with a three-day Grandstand ticket, parking and paddock access. BMW ticket holders will also get access to special BMW Motorrad hospitality, including lunch and a racing feed in the Beemer tent. The packaged deal also gains access to a meet-and-greet session with SBK factory riders Leon Haslam
and Marco Melandri
, as well as an autograph session with BMW stunt rider Chris Pfeiffer. There is also a promised goodie bag with $60 worth of merch.
The trek to Utah is out of the way, but there are some good motorcycle roads en route. The MMP SBK weekend is also a unique experience. Compared to the claustrophobia of Laguna Seca with its endless parking shuttle rides and sealed off MotoGP paddock, the MMP SBK event is a much more laid back affair. In particular the paddock is less congested, with SBK riders often wandering about amongst the rabble (it’s almost as if some of them enjoy the fan attention…) Held in conjunction with AMA Pro Racing round, fans get to hobnob with the AMA crews as well. Oh, and I’ll personally vouch for the BMW Motorrad hospitality tent. Last year I snuck in not once, but twice… Good stuff.
MMP World Superbike May 26-28. It’s the perfect rallying call. The Beemer set should migrate to Salt Lake City for Memorial Day Weekend World Superbike festivities at MMP. Kick stands up. Do it.
