Speed Triple 1050
MSRP $9,999
One of the quintessential streetfighters, the Speed Triple, was revamped in 2005 with a larger 1050cc three-cylinder engine. Like the Duc and MV, the Triumph has a single-sided swingarm but costs thousands less.

Review
In 2005 Triumph came out with yet another version of the Speed triple. Powered by the flat torque curve of the 1050 triple engine, the Speed Triple is a stunter's delight. The only problem with the bike is keeping the front wheel on the pavement. Otherwise (or because of this, depending on your views), the bike is a marvel. It has delicate handling, plenty of oomph to outrun most bikes on the road at sub-legal speeds, and is remarkably comfortable to ride--like a huge powerful motocross bike. This machine never fails to make me smile, especially when the triple engine starts to howl.
