2008 Yamaha Majesty Scooter Photo Gallery
Motorcycle USA scooter correspondent Steve Guzman rides the 2008 Yamaha Majesty Scooter, the cream of the 2008 Yamaha crop. Read more details about it in our 2008 Yamaha Majesty Scooter Review.
From a distance the Majesty looks massive, heavy and unwieldy, but it's a blast to ride.
The split seat is comfortable and sturdy with a height of 30 inches, 4.2 inches taller than Yamaha’s Morphous.
When you’re riding though, you’ll want to scoot back where you can enjoy that nice, built-in backrest.
the Majesty get’s an estimated 51 mpg.
Under the seat alone you’ve got 16 gallons of space! That's enough for that quick stop at the store for milk.
You can store a multitude of things under the seat.
The underseat storage alone swallowed up a helmet, a laptop, a video camera, a still camera, some accessories and a notebook with a little room to spare!
If that’s not enough there’s more lockable storage space behind the leg shield.
Here, I'm up to my elbow in storage capacity reaching for my camera case.
There’s also a light to help you see everything in the cavernous storage area under the passenger’s seat.
The Majesty’s engine is capable of producing 33.5 hp and reaching a top speed of 106 mph.
The Majesty has a pair of mighty, bright, halogen headlights and a greater road presence because of it's size.
The Yamaha Majesty is a perfectly capable machine both on and off the highway.
From this angle you can see that my 15" IBM laptop has PLENTY of room.
