OCC Foreclosure, Gears of War Bike on AC
Thursday, September 8, 2011
Paul Teutul, Sr. and Rick get ready to mount the tank on one of their most recent builds.
How many of you knew Orange County Choppers
is facing foreclosure on its 92,000 square-foot World Headquarters? Who knew Paul Jr. is doing fairly well establishing a name for himself, landing contracts like Epic Games who wants him to build a Gears of War III trike for them? If you knew the answers to both these questions you must be fans of American Chopper.
The show just debuted its new season late last month and the Teutul family drama continues.
Monday night, Sept. 12 at 9 p.m. (EST) you can see Paul Teutul, Sr. tossing around the idea of building a new HQ on his property. As Senior put it, “When the economy dropped, it affected OCC, too.” Moving to the old OCC building is also discussed as an option as well.
Love or loathe them, American Chopper still gets people to tune into the Discovery Channel weekly. Every time I run into either Paul Senior or Junior, you can barely get near them through the throngs of fans. Nobody can deny they’ve done more than anybody else to bring motorcycling to the mainstream the last eight years. So whether you’re a fan or not, here’s a quick peek at what to expect Monday night.
“The PJD crew travels to Epic Games in North Carolina where they tour the facilities for inspiration to prepare for a super special Gears of War III bike build. Meanwhile, Senior meets with representatives from Feather Free Zone in Jersey Shore to work on a unique build request for them. And with the OCC headquarters in foreclosure, they have to decide to either rent a space or construct a whole new building…” Courtesy of Discovery.com
