2012 Cincinnati V-Twin Expo Approaches
Thursday, January 26, 2012
Hundreds of media reps, vendors, dealers, and custom bike builders will soon fill the exhibition halls of the Duke Energy Center for the annual Cincinnati V-Twin Expo by Easyriders.
OK, winter’s here, the weather is crappy, and many can’t ride right now. That doesn’t mean you have to wait until spring to get your fix for all things cruiser and custom. The 12th annual Easyriders V-Twin Expo
is next weekend, so Motorcycle USA is flying out to Cincinnati to see what’s trending in the cruiser world and to check out the latest V-Twin related products, many before they hit dealer’s shelves. It’s also a great networking opportunity as we run into old friends and make some new ones, too.
Plenty of custom builders will be in attendance displaying their latest creations or participating in seminars. There’s always a celebrity or two floating around, too. I remember seeing Charles Barkley there a few years back promoting Anti Monkey Butt Powder. Fortunately, he wasn’t demonstrating the product.
Besides all the great cruiser gear and accessories that will be on display, the V-Twin Expo conducts top-notch seminars as well. This year’s lineup includes titles like “Gears, Beers, and Websites” and “Patent Laws and How They Impact You,” to name a few. The most highly anticipated seminar though might be the Bagger Market Review which the V-Twin Expo websites says will be a “highly interactive seminar presented by Road Iron Magazine and will be lead by prominent builders. Join Paul Yaffe, Arlen Ness, Brian Klock, Tom Motzko, Jim Nasi, Dave Perewitz and Bad Dad to learn more about how they increase profits and build long-term customer relationships by accessorizing and building custom baggers.”
Finally, Saturday night is the 12th annual V-Twin Industry Reception & Industry Leader Awards Presentation. It’s always good to see those who are working hard to help steer the V-Twin industry into the future get recognized for their dogged efforts and determination.
One hitch, though. The show isn’t open to the public, so you’ll have to catch Motorcycle USA on Twitter for observations and photos from the show, followed by a full review and video once we get back. See ya in Cincy.
