Choppertown Nation Backyard Builder Winners
Wednesday, April 4, 2012
Back in February, I posted a blog on the Choppertown Nation Backyard Build Contest
. For the third year running, promoters Zack and Scott invited all-comers to enter by posting up a couple pics of their bikes. The only criteria was the bikes needed to be built in people’s garages, backyards and small shops. Needless to say, this wasn’t the avenue for people to show off their stretched-out, over-the-top ultra radicals and high dollar custom motorcycles. It’s meant more to give the average working stiff props for their hard work, dedication, and for owning a cool scoot. Plus winners picked up some cool prizes from the likes of Dickies, Biltwell Inc., Baker Drivetrain and others.
Well, results are in and some killer bikes won the top prizes. In his post on the contest, Zack said they had 10 judges who used the BORDA system to judge the competition. Danny Franssen won the “Chopper Category” for his old school Shovelhead chopper. Pasi P’s ’46 Knuckle took top honors in the “Bobber Category” while Ian Solley’s FXD captured first place in the Café Racer Category. We’ve posted a picture of the winner below courtesy of Choppertown Nation.com
, but be sure to click on the link to their site to see all the winners. Good stuff from the guys over at Choppertown Nation. Thanks Zack and Scott for promoting another cool online custom motorcycle show.
