American Chopper Reportedly Canceled Again!
Friday, November 16, 2012
'What a long, strange trip it's been!' It's being reported that American Chopper has been canceled after a 10-year run.
It’s been an incredible run, but apparently the Teutul clan will soon be taking their curtain call as American Chopper
reportedly is being cancelled. According to James Hibberd of Entertainment Weekly.com,
the popular Discovery show is being canceled after a 10-year run. And what a run it’s been.
10 years. 233 episodes. Two networks. One cancellation already. Multiple court cases. Who knows how many bikes they’ve built, or side shows they’ve spawned. Love them or hate them, they brought tremendous exposure to the motorcycle industry and amassed a devoted fan base. They’ve been a guilty pleasure for others who would never admit it.
The last hurrah will be the big upcoming four-way build-off called “The Revenge” airing live from Vegas Dec. 11. This time the Fast n’ Loud guys have been thrown into the Junior, Senior, JJ mix. I’m sure it will be a bittersweet night for both the OCC
and PJD crews. On one hand, they can reflect on the incredible things they’ve gotten to see and do. On the other hand, times weren’t always cheery and it will probably be nice not to have cameras following you everywhere and for your life not to be so much a part of public scrutiny.
We wish both crews good luck in the future. And I have to admit. Now I’ll have to tune in to the last show December 11 when I had no intentions to before now.
