I've been a customer of this store for 8 years. I've never received over-the-top customer service, but at least I've been treated like a human being. NOT today. I had a simple question...the guys at the parts counter completely ridiculed me and even looked at each other and rolled their eyes. I've been in customer service for 14 years, and if I EVER treated a customer like that, my boss would fire my butt so fast I wouldn't know what hit me. I haven t been treated like a silly girl by anyone in a long time, and it caught me by surprise. I am never going back there, and I will UN-recommend them to EVERYONE I meet. I don't care if I have to drive 100 miles to find another cycle shop, this one will never see me again.

I'm not real sure about that last review, it kinda sounded "cut throat" and "shady". I've shopped at Layton Cycle for the past 10+ years, I've never had so much as a minor disagreement, and I currently own 5 machines and have owned 15+ in the last ten years. Needless to say I'm there all the time! Mike is a wealth of knowledge, I'd put his knowledge base against any parts guy, anywhere! I have all my machines serviced at Layton Cycle and their mechanics are second to none! The sales staff is top notch, priced competitively and always willing to deal! Now for parts, they are amazing, heavily involved in motocross and snowmobiles, they truly are enthusiasts! Their prices are amazing and they will match or beat any Internet price, in fact I rarely have to ask because their prices are so on point! That last review has to be complete B.S. Probably another dealer or a customer trying to pull one over. ALL of my family and friends use this shop regularly and they are brilliant! Try them for yourself, you will see. I don't normally review, but I came across that first review and had to rebut, that shop is nothing short of amazing so I felt compelled to stick up for them!

Was referred to this store by Suzuki of Salt Lake because these guys were supposedly the only store in the entire state of Utah that had the part that I needed. Drove 20+ miles to pick up the part. Drove another 20+ miles only to return home and find out the part i had bought did not fit the bike correctly. Thought it was my mistake. So I drove another 20 miles there and 20 miles back to return this $30 part in it's exact same wrapper it was purchased in. Fast forward two weeks later- come to find out- the return transaction that this store issued and gave me a receipt for; was never posted to my bank account!!! So I call them to sort it out. Spoke with an employee from parts, named Mike- who accuses me of returning the incorrect part, and possibly buying some other part online and attempting to return it to them! Mike tells me that if I want the $30 refund that was already issued and then denied days later (with no attempt to contact me) I need to provide proof to him- that I bought the part I needed from some other online store. RIDICULOUS!!! The part this store gave me didn't fit the bike because it was put in the wrong package from the very begining. That was the problem! So i'm paying for their mistake and they could care less about pleasing the customer. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND SHOPPING ELSEWHERE! Not impressed at all- with any part of this establishment. Not worth the time or money to deal with such a sketchy cut throat establishment. I will not return nor ever refer friends or family to Layton Cycle.

These guys are awsome. I have a 08 yz450f that needed a new top end and a couple valves. They had it all in stock and even gave me a discount for being a member of the local mx track. Thanks Layton Cycle, you have my biz.
Not Valued Customer March 25, 2009 03:36 PM
I shopped on line for motorcycle parts and found Blair power sports/Layton cycles. I found the parts I needed and ordered them online. The note on the web page said that prices are subject to a "slight" change. I don't think $102 dollars is slight! I spoke with them on the phone after seeing the increase. They would NOT honor their advertised price. What happened to the customer is always right? I will not deal with these guys again. They are shady to say the least
