Kurt Caselli Replaces David Knight in WEC
Thursday, June 16, 2011
Kurt Caselli has been the top American ISDE
rider in years past, but Team USA has not claimed the overall title. Why? Mostly because the Europeans race the World Enduro Championship
as the major form of off-road racing. The WEC mimics the ISDE format so they are intimately familiar with the style of riding necessary to be successful. Caselli is currently employed by KTM to race the AMA Kenda National Hare and Hound series as well as the WORCS
championship. He has a comfortable lead over David Pearson in the H&H series with two rounds to go and has the top spot in WORCS as well ahead of Taylor Robert with four races left.
In the midst of trying to win two championships, KTM expects even more from the Palmdale, California resident. Caselli will fill in for the injured David Knight for at least one WEC round. The American will trade his KTM 450 SX-F
for the Euro-only 2012 KTM 500 EXC and race the E3 division. Check out the video to see how KC is getting along with the new machine.
