2012 450 Enduro Shootout Coming
Tuesday, April 3, 2012
We finished the riding portion of our 2012 450 Enduro Shootout and it was an amazing test. All of the bikes were surprising in one way or another and all of our testers were battling a constant internal struggle to decide which is the best for them.
At the top of our list is the new Yamaha. Check out our initial impression in the 2012 Yamaha WR450F First Ride
. This bike has been long overdue for a change and now there’s an updated Japanese bike to rival the European brands. We also picked up a brand new CRF450X. There aren’t any updates for ’12, but this proven Baja weapon should be right at home in the Arizona desert. KTM kicked in with the 450 XC-W and Beta set us up with the 450 RR, which is a 100cc-bigger rematch of the 2012 350 Enduro Comparison
. The bikes were packed up and hauled out to Marana, AZ where we spent three days racking up miles and chewing up knobbies. Stay tuned for the story in the coming month.
