Ricky Carmichael Headed Back to Loretta’s
Monday, April 30, 2012
Will Ricky raise his arms in triumph at Loretta Lynn's 2012?
started his amazing career by coming through the amateur ranks at the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Motocross. Year after year he honed his craft aboard Team Green Kawasaki 2-strokes and eventually graduated to the pro ranks where he kicked the hell out of everyone for over a decade. Now he’s headed back to his roots, this time aboard a Suzuki 4-stroke.
RC has been retired from professional racing for five years now (he raced part time in 2007, winning every outdoor National that he entered). It sounds weird to say that. His presence was so strong and several of his main competitors are still chasing championships today, so it doesn’t feel like he’s been gone for that long. Regardless, RC has always loved Loretta Lynn’s and he’s determined to go back to the dude ranch for another week of racing, this time without the pressure. Even though he’s the GOAT, Carmichael still has to go through the area and regional qualifiers. Check out the Part 1 video below as Fox Racing
chronicles his road back to Hurricane Mills, TN.
