ESPN Proves EnduroCross Gnarliness
Thursday, July 05, 2012
Racing a dirt bike around a tight course littered with rocks, boulders, logs, waterholes, sand pits, mud and tractor tires is pretty insane when you think about it. It’s basically combining all of the really hard stuff that most riders try to avoid and forcing them to suffer through them without the benefit of regular trails to break them up. Just how hard is it? ESPN recently put EnduroCross elite racers to the test and collected scientific data to prove just how abusive this sport really is. The ESPN Sports Science lab compiled its information to provide insight to the
X Games Men’s EnduroCross and
X Games Women’s EnduroCross.
Check out the
X Games LA: Sport Science, Enduro video to see just how close these riders are to having their hearts beat right out of their chests and their bones snap under maximum G-force.
