What does it take to tackle the 1,121.55 mile Tecate SCORE
Baja 1000? Well, apart from the obvious need for machinery, technical support, ticket to Mexico and a full developed pair, it takes preparation. Mental preparation is necessary to deal with the long, lonely stretches of desert or the solitude following a crash while waiting for help. Physical preparation is also absolutely vital if one hopes to achieve success in the wilds of Baja. Part of the regimen for riders building toward race day is to take part in pre-runs, in order to focus the mind to the task and ready the body for the beating it will endure.
Factory FMF/Bonanza Plumbing/KTM riders Ivan Ramierz, Quinn Cody and Kurt Caselli have been hard at work learning their sections of the course and, luckily for us,
KTM shot video of the action and sat the guys down to get their thoughts. Check out the footage below, provided via YouTube, courtesy of KTM.
