Maria Forsberg will try to follow up her stellar 2012 season in both the Women's GNCC and Women's EnduroCross series.
KTM has some major players in a number of national race series’ in the States, and recently Team Orange got them all together for an official Factory FMF/KTM Team photo shoot. The seven riders on the team are a who’s who of off-road specialists, many of whom already have one or more national titles to their credit. The official line-up includes Charlie Mullins, Steward Baylor, Mike Brown, Maria Forsberg, Kurt Caselli and Ivan Ramierz.
Baylor battled for the GNCC
XC2 title in 2012, falling short by just six points after a final round show-down at Loretta Lynn’s. He’s now set to ride a KTM 250 XC two-stroke in the GNCC XC1 class in 2013, contesting against teammates Mullins and Russell. He will also ride in the AMA National Enduro Series as the defending champion. Mullins returns to GNCC action looking to improve on his fifth-place overall standing in 2012 while Russell, coming from a second-place finish in XC1 in 2012, will undoubtedly be a contender for the title again in 2013.
Kurt Caselli will get some hands-on training in one of the toughest rally races in the world during Dakar 2013 as he fills in for the injured Marc Coma. He’s also set to return to the AMA National Hare & Hound Series and will ride alongside Ramirez and Brown in the SCORE Baja
Race Series as well. Brown will also have his hands full with the 2013 AMA EnduroCross
Maria Forsberg will work to top her stellar 2012 season, where she won the Women’s GNCC Championship, X-Games Gold Medal in EnduroCross and the AMA EnduroCross Women’s Championship.
Factory FMF/KTM Team Manager Antti Kallonen weighed in on the 2013 line-up, “I feel we have a very strong team for 2013.
