We all love to race, and even if we suck in real life there’s a new way to kick serious motocross butt with the Mad Skills Motocross game now available for iPhone. Unfortunately, I’m a Droid user and therefore have to sit on the sidelines while everyone in the motorcycle world who can use the App Store buzzes about how rad this game is.

Crashes Happen - Wear Motocross Safety Gear

It’s been a long time since I’ve severely crashed a dirt bike. There have been one or two in the past year that left me dinged up, but nothing that really scared me or caused serious damage. That streak came to an end this past weekend during our 2011 250 Motocross Shootout at Comp Edge. The track got rough and I got a bad run at a freshly watered step-up, cased the top, swapped and highsided down the backside, catching a handlebar in the stomach along the way.

Despite nasty winds flowing through San Bernardino, we unloaded the 2011 250 Motocross bikes and pulled off our first day of testing to see which of these machines is the best. There’s no way to judge just yet, but I can say that these are all impressive bikes. All modern MX dirt bikes are dang good, and they can all be made to fit an individual rider with some customization, but personally I think the 250s are a lot closer to one another than the big bikes.

Ken Roczen SX Debut Video

KTM is pretty proud of their new 250F rider, Ken Roczen. The 16-year-old German phenom entered the high-stakes world of American Supercross Lites racing at Anaheim 1 and came away with a seventh-place result in the main event. He also came away with some bruises after a nasty crash in qualifying. Check out this little video of his day that KTM put together.
