Motocross Racer Tries GNCC
Monday, June 29, 2009
Plenty of motocross and supercross racers find the off-road racing scene as a perfect way to extend their careers. An old MXer is a young off-roader, but there’s one who is getting an early start. Charles (Josh) Summey finished a remarkable ninth-place in the MotorcycleUSA.com Snowshoe GNCC XC1 division. Personally I thought it was awesome to see him come out and give the toughest GNCC race a shot. I’ve always wondered how guys like Chad Reed, James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto would do in an off-road race. Those guys are so talented on a bike, they must be good off the motocross track as well, right?
Who knows, but I just became a Summey fan. The guy is a stud.
