Disc brake locks work by securing a motorcycle's front wheel so it's more difficult for a thief to roll the bike away. However, these otherwise effective theft-deterrents are easy to lose, sometimes tricky to deploy and disastrous if you forget to take them off before riding away. By integrating the locking function into a permanently mounted bracket or the brake caliper body itself, and using a removable pin to secure the brake disc, RoadLoK systems address these problems without the possibility of accidental actuation.
