How badass is JCR Honda rider Timmy Weigand? The dude had an IV drip after getting slammed with food poisoning last night and then lost the tip of his little finger in a freak crash, and still he mounted his CRF250X and raced through the fifth-consecutive day of International Six Days Enduro competition in Portugal. I just had to give a shout to this guy for being a tough bastard. After starting the competition with six riders and allowed one throw-away score, we lost Ricky Dietrich at the start of Day 1 which means we’ve contested the entire thing with no room for error. Weigand wasn’t about to let the whole team, neigh, the whole country, down.

I’m not sure just how much of the finger is lost, but I’ll be enjoying all five digits on my throttle hand this weekend and be thinking of him. You da man, Timmay!
