Nike AIRMX Moto Boots for Stewart and Dungey

Nike is one of the most recognizable footwear companies in the world, and the Nike 6.0 program for extreme athletes has been a popular sponsorship over the past years. James Stewart and Ryan Dungey are motocross’ contribution to the 6.0 team and it seems that being part of the Nike squad has more than just monetary benefits. Stewart and Dungey will be sporting brand-new Nike motocross boots at Anaheim 1 this weekend as part of a project designed specifically to support these riders.

According to some reports, Nike has no intention of releasing the Nike AIRMX to the public, which means you can look, but don't touch. These kicks are solely for the elite and were designed from the ground up primarily by Dungey. Ah, the life of a factory superstar…

The Nike AIRMX boot is supposedly lighter than anything on the market. It definitely looks pretty sleek, and considering that
James and Ryan are willing to wear it at A1 this weekend then it must be pretty good. Those guys wouldn't needlessly put their
championship hopes in jeopardy.

Whoever Jason is needs to shut his mouth! you dont know what ur talkin about boy. When you have actually put the boots on rode in them and raced in them then you can talk, but till then stop actin like you know everything and shut ur mouth. Nike should release these to the public so these people will stop hatin on them and actin like they know what they are talkin about. These boots look sick and if Ryan and James wears them they must be good. no doubt

I live close to Nike headquarters and I know they are always trying to be innovative and cool but this is not the arena for Nike. From the looks of the boot, its kinda ugly. If its motocross boot's quality is anywhere near their standard shoes' quality its gonna be be pretty sad. ( Nike's don't last at all. ) And the above reference that Stewart and them are using them is obvious.....THEY GET PAID BIG BIG BUCKS TO WEAR THEM. I doubt when Nike is making you the Jordan of Motocross, your gonna say nah, i like my old boots better. In fact many pro riders will endorse stuff they don't even like because they need the cash. Im not a hater I just think NIke makes low quality thailand made shoes that they over charge for......but hey, I guess time will tell huh.

i think it will cost too much but it looks sweet. i would get in a heartbeat, anything stewart and dungey wear has to be good.

I personally think they should make a boot for the public. My husband noticed the boots last night on supercross and said that he would like to get them for our son. It's sad to find out that they are not going to be up for purchase. The light weight and style of the boot would be perfect for minis and youth riders. The stiffness and the weight of boots make it really hard for little girls and boys ! It would be nice to beable to get a nice light weight boot and know that your rider is still protected;) You know it's good if the pro's are wearing them, and where's the love children are the future we don't want to put them in crapy stuff just because there small. We buy alpinestars now but if nike would release a youth boot similar to the Dungy boot we would defintly switch!

Look at what Dungey and Stewart have worn for the past few years and then look at the AIRMX... Gaerne SG12 sole and heel, Fox ankle, shin plate/rear plate, Tech 10 inner contact patch and gaiter... There's plenty of other new, cool stuff, but there are definite design cues. The hinge is pretty wicked. I like how it's not on the inside ankle too which will help with bike grip.
