Motorcycle Superstore recently received the '2009 Oregon Entrepreneurs Network Growth Stage Company of the Year.'
, the leading on-line e-commerce retailer of motorcycle gear, apparel, parts and accessories, has been recognized as the “2009 Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN) Growth Stage Company of the Year.” The award was presented to Motorcycle Superstore’s CEO Don Becklin on Sept. 24 at the 2009 OEN Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards held in Portland, OR, during its 16th annual awards ceremony.
“It was exciting for Motorcycle Superstore just to be selected as a finalist by the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network. Winning the Tom Holce entrepreneurship award in the Growth Category was an incredible honor and we sincerely appreciate the recognition. I’m extremely proud of the team we’ve put together and the hard work they’ve put in over the years. I share in their excitement and sense of pride in this business. Motorcycle Superstore was built on customer service and our loyal customers deserve a large amount of credit for our continued success. The “Growth Stage Company of the Year" award recognizes companies that “have a fully-marketable product or service, have earned a degree of market acceptance and have acquired a critical mass of customers. Their efforts are aimed not at remaining viable but at increasing market share, moving into new markets, adapting products or services to new uses and customers or increasing efficiency and cash flow,” according to OEN.
Motorcycle Superstore has recently been listed as #223 on the Internet Retailers list of the Top 500 e-Retailers, up 73 positions from 2008. Motorcycle Superstore serves over one million unique monthly visitors. Even in unpredictable economic times, it achieved 70% year-over-year growth in 2009. The Motorcycle Superstore staff has earned the award by improving customer acquisition programs, refining customer relationship management processes and by focusing on providing superior customer service.
This is an amazing achievement for a small, start-up internet company that began with three people selling aftermarket motorcycle parts and gear online. Over the next 12 years, the Motorcycle Superstore has exploded in growth and sales, distinguishing itself from its competitors by providing quality products at competitive prices with the best customer service around. The company now boasts 140 employees.
