2010 Raptor 700R vs. TRX700XX Sneak Peak
Thursday, February 25, 2010
Big, mean sport quads rule wide-open spaces. Honda’s TRX700XX has been killing the Baja races since its inception while the Yamaha Raptor 700R is every dune fanatic’s wet dream. The biggest difference between these two on a spec sheet is the suspension arrangement. Honda gobbles up technical terrain with independent shocks on the rear, but the Yamaha provides powerful, consistent slides with its straight axle design. Our ATV testing crew has been out riding these two machines in the California desert and has discovered that there’s plenty more to set them apart. Each bike has its own personality, but which is the best open-class sport quad? Wait for the review for that one.
