Motocross for Old Guys?

If I have to watch four-wheeled racing, this is the way to go.
The
Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series might have more in common with dirt bikes than it does with automobiles, despite using trucks. This is the closest thing to motocross on four wheels that I’ve seen with huge jumps, rutted corners, moguls, big horsepower, massive suspension and dangerous roost.
The sport is pretty young, too, but the television package seems pretty strong. SPEED has great coverage. Overhead camera angles and excellent announcing keeps the show very up-tempo and interesting. I haven’t been able to watch enough to get familiar with the competitors, develop favorites or understand the rivalries. All I know is that these guys are go-for-broke on every lap and they aren’t afraid to smash anyone in the way.
I can’t really get into any of the NASCAR series, American LeMans or even Formula 1, but this short course off-road racing – this is good stuff.
