It's coming... We'll get our hands on one yet...
There’s plenty of hype around the new
2010 Suzuki RMX450Z. We’re just as excited about getting ahold of it as anyone and the anticipation is only getting worse after watching it debut successfully in Britain. The opening round of the 2010 Metzler ACU British Enduro Championship took place last weekend at Thetford Forest in Norfolk. Putoline Suzuki rider Tom Sagar was running second until a crash during a special test dropped him down in the overall standings. He did, however, manage to capture the E2 division on the new
Suzuki off-road weapon.
“Naturally I'm over the moon to take the win in E2,” said RMX pilot, Tom Sagar. “The bike ran extremely well and despite the wet conditions was a joy to ride. The crash was a bit of a blow for my overall finish, but I'm not too disappointed by this, as I think we've shown our potential for the rest of the season."
Sagar gave the RMX a grand kickoff with a victory in the opening round of the Putoline XC British Championship on the first weekend in February. It too was a muddy affair and the RMX is proving to be capable at these national-level venues. This is what Sagar had to say about the first race:
"It was a pretty tough event but the bike ran perfectly and we were able to keep up a fast pace despite the boggy conditions. Whether I contest the whole championship or not is still to be decided, but it was fun today and the RMX proved that it's more than capable in tricky conditions."
