Motorcycle Safety Foundation Calls for Scientists, Researchers, Specialists, Politicians and Motorcycle Industry Representatives to Contribute to ifz - 8th International Motorcycle Safety Conference.
The deadline for Proposals is March 3, 2010.
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) in conjunction with co-organizer Industry-Verband Motorrad Deutschland e.V. (IVM) have issued a call for papers to be considered for presentation at the 8th ifz-International Motorcycle Safety Conference to be held in Cologne, Germany on Oct. 4-5, 2010.
Papers for consideration must be submitted to the Istitut fur Zweiradsicherheit e. V. (
info@ifz.de) by March 3, 2010 and should address one or more of the following topics:
- Accident Research (statistics, risk factors, biomechanics, kinematics, injuries and injury-causing factors)
- Safety Technology (characteristic driving features of motorcycles, protective rider elements, ergonomics, safety components of motorcycles, conspicuity, and safety measures with regards to automobiles, heavy-load vehicles and roads)
- Environmental Aspects (emissions, standards and measure procedures)
- Rider, Traffic and Vehicle Behavior (rider personalities, rider/instructor training, motorcycle conception and rider behavior, different ways of experiencing motorcycling, young riders, and traffic behavior related to safety and environment)
- Trends in Development of Motorcycles (development, usage, image, social acceptance, role in future traffic systems, legal issues, and integrated safety developments in future traffic systems)
- Abstracts should be no more than 250 words and include author/authors, affiliation, final title, starting point for investigation, methods, results and impact / effects / consequences. For more information send email to info@ifz.de.
The 2010 ifz-8th International Motorcycle Safety Conference will take place just prior to the 7th International Motorcycle and Scooter Exhibition - IMTERMOT Cologne 2010.
The MSF sits on the ifz-Conference steering committee and has been co-organizing this important international safety conference since 1996.
