Known as “the World Center of Racing,” Daytona International Speedway has activity nearly every day of the year hosting stock cars, sports cars, motorcycles and karts. Daytona International Speedway has at least eight major race weekends a year with premier events such as the Daytona 500, the Rolex 24 At Daytona sports car event and Daytona 200.

Description: The enormous 480-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." In addition to eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo "shoots," production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.
Coinciding with the Daytona Beach community's "Bike Week," every March Daytona International Speedway hosts two weeks of intense motorcycle racing with Daytona 200 Week. Racers and fans from around the world converge on the Speedway for the best in road racing, supercross and dirt track competition highlighted by the Daytona Supercross and the Daytona 200 AMA Motorcyclist Association-sanctioned event.
The Superspeedway is a 2.5 mile trioval that is 40 feet wide with a 12-30 foot apron. The Road Course is 3.56 miles for cars and 3.51 miles for motorcycles, 2.9 miles for motorcycles infield course and chicane range from 30 to 50 feet wide. In all, the facility is 480 acres, with 180 acres infield including 29 acres of Lake Lloyd.
