What the Heck is Going on in WORCS?

Thursday, February 17, 2011
The World Off-Road Championship Racing series has undergone some changes to the professional format this season, switching from a single two-hour race on Sunday, to a one-hour-plus-one-lap contest on Saturday and Sunday. The two-race schedule changes things a bit for pro-level riders who are looking to make a living in this business of speed. The move hopefully will attract more pro-am riders and entice motocross guys to make the jump off-road. There’s more to it, however, and now that we have one round in the books to evaluate, if you’re interested in the series, listen to WORCS head cheese, Sean Reddish, in the video below.

You can find more information on the WORCS Dirt Bike Racing and ATV WORCS Racing pages.

Anyone have any feedback on the new format? Is anyone going down for the second round? I'm considering it, but currently it doesn't look so good due to my schedule.
