Hilde is holding down the fort at MotoUSA's Southern Oregon HQ. With world-class dirt bike and ATV trails just minutes away, the hardest part is getting him to focus on the keyboard. Two wheels or four, it doesn't matter to our Off-Road Editor so long as it goes like hell in the dirt.

Repsol KTM's Marc Coma finished fifth today to move up the standings. Coma is accustomed to living inside the top-3 and he's currently five spots away in eighth.

The second day of racing looked much like the first inside the top-5 with Helder Rodrigues swapping places with Stage 1 winner, Ruben Faria for the win. The two Yamaha riders were separated by just over a minute as the race left their home country of Portugal and moved into Southern Spain with a 15 km liaison, 67 km special stage and a long, 463 km connecting track to finish the day. Isidre Esteve Pujol was third again followed by David Casteu and Marc Coma in fifth. The jump for Spain’s Coma is a welcome boost after his 13th placing yesterday and the Repsol KTM rider is now in eighth overall. Rodrigues holds the Rally lead with a 47-second advantage over Faria.

American Chris Blais looked to be on pace for a decimating performance, but a mechanical failure left him 11’50 behind the leader after spending nearly 20 minutes to fix the problem on his Red Bull KTM. The drawback left Blais with a dismal 81st finish on the day. Jonah Street dropped in the standings as well with his 17th result, but only slightly. Street is currently in seventh and just under 10 minutes behind the leader. Blais, meanwhile, is down in 18th with a 17’07 deficit to overcome. The Red Bull KTM star is 5’57 out of the top-10 where Norwegian Pal Anders Ullevalseter holds down that 10th spot.
