Hilde is holding down the fort at MotoUSA's Southern Oregon HQ. With world-class dirt bike and ATV trails just minutes away, the hardest part is getting him to focus on the keyboard. Two wheels or four, it doesn't matter to our Off-Road Editor so long as it goes like hell in the dirt.

James Stewart gave everything he had to claim his first X Games competition medal, even the shirt off his back – literally. Stewart not only lost the gold medal for Best Whip, but a little wager as well which saw the Yamaha rider cough up his jersey for the defending champion and repeat winner, Todd Potter.

Scoring was provided by the fans with an American Idol-esque text-in voting system. Potter claimed a vast majority with 43% of the votes followed by Stewart with 20%.

“It’s always a fun competition,” said Potter in an interview with EXPN. “But you don’t know if it’s popularity or if it’s truly talent. Either way, it’s fun.”

Ricky Carmichael picked up a bronze with 17% of the votes to go along with his co-gold medal in the Step Up competition later in the evening.
