Walter Maurer and his wife Pamela on Hurricane Ridge. The Maurer’s won a Champion Factory Tool Box just for subscribing to MotoUSA Magazine. “We are happy we won because we have lots of tools,” Maurer said.
MotoUSA Magazine recently teamed up with Champion Tools to provide one lucky reader with a brand new Factory Tool Box. Anyone who subscribed to MotoUSA Magazine between July and September was entered to win the Champion tool box. The lucky winner of the contest was Walter Maurer from Cleveland, Ohio.
Walter Maurer is an anesthesiologist with a passion for motorcycles. He and his wife of 15 years, Pamela, have ridden motorcycles for years. They love traveling to other countries and exploring the back roads, small towns, and remote areas. In this way they are able to experience new countries in a way that only a motorcycle is able to offer. The Maurer’s have traveled through Germany, Switzerland, Norway, the Pyrenees in Northern Spain, and most recently Alaska and Turkey. They are currently planning a tour of South America in April.
“We love to ride for the opportunity to see remote locations on our trips and for the enjoyment of being together,” said Maurer. “We are happy we won because we have lots of tools. I carry a lot of them with me on our long trips and do much of my own work at home.”
If anyone doubts the Maurer’s love for motorcycles, simply look in their garage. Mr. Maurer owns a 2001 BMW R1150GS, a 2003 Suzuki DRZ400E, and a 2004 BMW R1150GS which is currently stored in Alaska awaiting its next adventure. Mrs. Maurer rides a 2007 Suzuki DR200SE and a brand new BMW F650GS. Their garage is one that would certainly make any dual-sport fan drool.
