The ulcers keep piling on for the warden of the MotoUSA asylum. With the inmates running rampant around the globe, Hutch has opted to get in on the madness more these days than in years past and is back in the saddle again.

Viper Motorcycle Company brings the 2010 Diamondback to the plate for 2010, but will some slight modifications be enough to make it a home run?

The Viper Motorcycle Company continues to move forward as a force in the custom chopper and heavyweight American cruiser market with its unveiling of the 2010 Diamondback chopper. The second generation of their impressive looking motorcycle features a number of improvements versus the original. The 2010 bike features on-the-fly adjustable air-ride suspension so the rider can adjust the bikes height as they roll off the street and into the parking lot of their favorite hang out.

As if the absolutely sick paint jobs over the carbon fiber bodywork are not enough to make a metric cruiser owner green with envy, then the rumble of its 152-inch Viper V-Twin sure will. Back again is the stroked Twin that Viper is constantly pushing as the baddest OEM V-Twin chopper engine on the market today. Remember Viper provided the video of their bike facing off with a Dodge Viper in a head-to-head drag race? It was cool to watch anyway.

Back to the bike: Not a lot of changes are on the list for the 2010 Diamondback but it still features a adjustable foot controls to tailor fit it to any rider, a proprietary engine vibration damping system that Viper claims gives its bikes a much smoother feel than the other production American choppers on the market these days. Lighting is handled by trick LED systems with that rear brake light set-up slickly integrated into the rear fender.

It’s good to see Viper is back for 2010, so stay tuned as we try to round ourselves up a ride on what is being billed as the best American V-Twin chopper on the market.
