Metzeler introduces its new Sportec M5 Interact tire with a tread pattern in the shape of the Greek symbol “Pi”.
Metzeler announces the completion of the ‘Gimme 5’ Contest, an internet trivia competition to identify its own ultimate motorcycle experts, aptly called ‘gurus’. The contest was spirited with the name ‘Gimme 5’ as a way of introducing Metzeler’s new Sportec M5 Interact™, the perfect all-round supersport tire destined to master the segment.
Inside this new milestone is the German brand’s patented Interact™ multi zone tension technology, further innovated with two motorcycle tire firsts: 5 differentiated tension zones and a tread composed of the Greek symbol “Pi”.
The seven winning ‘gurus’ will be taken on an all-expenses-paid trip to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão, Portugal in March 2010 for a memorable track day experience and shall even bring home their own professional video and action photographs of the event. As part of Metzeler’s Interact philosophy, these participants will have the opportunity to see the inner workings of a brand whose tire production reaches every segment of motorcycling including; road, track, sport, touring, adventure and off-road.
The Sportec M5 Interact™ is Metzeler’s segment redefining supersport tire for 2010 packed with technology and answering calls from riders looking for superior capability.
‘Gimme 5’ Contest winners will be published on Metzeler’s website on 4th February, 2010 once winners have been verified. The contest was designed to test the knowledge of biking fans, challenging them to answer 10 questions correctly in the quickest time and even offered bonus points for referrals.
