The SS Trike was originally introduced at Sturgis in 2009. Since then its reputation has grown and the company is currently working on 2010/2011 models.

While SS Trike has been busy working on their 2010/2011 models they have also recently announced all SS Trikes will now be shipped with a 117” S&S X-Wedge EPA certified engine. In their attempt to provide the best and most popular Trike in the industry, SS Trike has determined how to increase power while simultaneously meeting stricter EPA requirements.

The Wisconsin-based firm claims the new X-Wedge engine is actually better suited to the race-inspired automatic transmission which comes standard on all SS Trikes. It touts a broad power band matched to a two speed with lock up torque converter to provide immense power and performance.

“We decided to utilize the X Wedge because it is the most innovative, reliable and smoothest running V-Twin product available today,” said Jason Neiman, President of SS Trike. “We selected S&S Cycle because of the efficiency and power supplied by the motor.”

The company also offers multiple options on the SS Trike including a higher and more forward seat position, a passenger backrest, windshield, enclosed trunk and trailer hitch.
