AFT Customs Er Hed, with its board tracker-influenced design, a 1700cc Yamaha Road Star engine, sprotor brakes and fluid reservoirs in the handlebars took top honors in the San Mateo Ultimate Builders Custom Bike Show.

The weather may have been rainy outside, but the crowds stormed the entrances of the International Motorcycle Show in San Mateo, California, on Saturday morning. As they entered the Expo Hall, they were treated to an array of custom bikes extending from one end of the hall to the other.

Some of the area’s top custom bike builders brought their latest renditions of rolling art to be judged in Round 2 of the Ultimate builders Custom Bike Show. Once again, the builders were pleased with the cash and prizes put up by the sponsors, which included the International Motorcycle Shows, Harley-Davidson, Star Motorcycles and Yamaha. Even though the rewards were substantial, many of the builders still talked about how the greatest reward was the prestige of competing in a world class event.

Once again, anxiety was high when the awards ceremony began on Sunday afternoon.
