Entries for Thundersprint 2011 have been pouring in and now there are just a few spaces left in both the sprint racing and cavalcade sections of the two day extravaganza held over the weekend of May 7 and 8 in Northwich town centre.
There are eleven classes in the sprint, ranging from pre-war to post classic and sidecar. The cavalcade is open to bikes, and riders, of all ages.
Thundersprint organiser Frank Melling said: “We have a fantastic entry of motorcycling superstars but we welcome enthusiasts just as warmly. What we particularly need are riders who are spectator friendly and are willing to share their love of motorcycling with the tens of thousands of fans who pack Northwich every year.
“A big smile, a nice bike and a willingness to chat to spectators is far more important than being fast.
The Thundersprint Cavalcade is one the great spectacles in the biking world. Over 200 cavalcaders and racers take to the streets of Northwich for three laps of the pretty market town. The pavements are packed with spectators; the TV crews film and the air horns wail – and every rider is a Grand Prix star for half an hour.
