Suzuki completely redesigned its Gixer 750 for the 2011 model year, along with its Supersport GSX-R600.
Filmed on location at Yoshimura’s race shop, surrounded by Suzuki’s championship-winning race bikes, this new walkaround video discusses the numerous changes to suspension, chassis, brakes, engine internals and more that led to a significant weight reduction and increased engine efficiency for unrivaled power and performance.
Boasting a weight reduction of nearly 17 pounds, achieved through completely redesigning every aspect of the bike, the all-new GSX-R750 offers riders an unparalleled combination of breathtaking engine performance and swift handling in a lightweight, compact chassis. The addition of the class-leading Showa Big Piston Forks (BPF) front suspension previously found on the GSX-R1000 models, along with high-quality Brembo calipers, increases response to the rider and provides exceptional overall handling. The engine was thoroughly reworked to minimize internal engine friction to reduce mechanical losses, maximizing the engine’s output and efficiency for class-leading power and performance.
Additionally, the 2011 GSX-R750 is competitively-priced in the 600-750cc middleweight sportbike category, with its MSRP only $400 more than the 2011 GSX-R600.
