The Tour Master Custom Midweight Gloves are a simple, affordable and comfortable motorcycle glove for use in cooler weather.
Unless you reside in the Caribbean or some other tropical paradise, riding a motorcycle during the winter months requires specialized riding gear to keep you warm and comfortable. That’s why when it’s chilly outside I depend on the Tour Master Custom Midweight Gloves.
The beauty of these Tour Master gloves is in their simplicity. The gloves feature a full-grain leather exterior with reinforced stitching and extra paneling throughout the palm area. The leather feels thick yet is soft and pliable when touched, which ensures no break-in time. It is devoid of any logos which give them a classy look and allow them to match virtually any riding gear. One thing missing is impact protection but considering its reasonable $37.99 price point (available at Motorcycle-Superstore.com) it’s something that we can deal with. An elastic cuff and Velcro wrist strap ensures proper fit.
Slip your hand into the glove and you’ll notice the supple feel of the fixed inner liner. It is made from a synthetic material that feels similar to soft velvet. The gloves offer a more slender fit so for those with thicker hands it would be a good idea to purchase a size larger than what you would normally wear.
Even though the gloves don’t feel that thick they deliver a fair level of insulation on cold nights. On the low end of the spectrum I’ve worn the gloves when the thermometer was in the mid-40s and they provided an adequate level of comfort. For riding in temperatures below that threshold we’d recommend wearing a thicker glove. The gloves don’t offer any ventilation so you will experience some perspiration during use in milder weather (over 65 degrees). Durability wise I’ve been rocking these Tour Master mitts for two entire season and aside for some minor wear throughout the thumb region on my throttle hand. The gloves are in perfect shape.
