Kawasaki is adding more gusto to its big-bore sport utility line-up with new updates for the 2012 Brute Force 750 4x4i, which is now available with power steering.
Kawasaki is hitting trails with its newest addition to the big-bore sport utility ATV division – the 2012 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i EPS. This hefty beast features a host of improvements for the new model year, spreading updates throughout four different versions to better match the needs and desires of Kawasaki ATV consumers. Now available with power steering, the 2012 Brute Force 750 will also be offered in a special SE model, which features a Metallic Tungsten Gray finish with unique graphics and cast aluminum wheels. For hunters out there, team green also gives the advantage of stealth with the Brute Force Realtree APG HD camouflage version, which utilizes lightweight neutral-toned camo that is printed using a high-definition imaging process.
Some of the most notable improvements in the 2012 Brute Force 750 were aimed at the heart of the machine. Kawasaki boosted power from the fuel injected V-Twin engine with revised cylinder heads and increased the compression ratio. These revisions to the powerplant result in more usable bottom-end torque while its acceleration is kept smooth via 36mm throttle bodies. A new radiator was also re-positioned higher in the chassis to protect it from debris, while larger hoses and a more powerful fan provide enhanced cooling capabilities to the engine.

At a claimed weight of 683.6 pounds the Brute Force 750 stays quick on its feet with lower spring rates for the throttle return, giving the machine a lighter feel. Also updated is the entire steering assembly, which has been adjusted to provide smoother handling.
Transferring power from the 749cc engine to the wheels is a revised and fully automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT). The tranny gets a thicker belt to reduce maintenance and increase lifespan. For especially tricky conditions the Brute offers selectable two- or four-wheel drive, allowing riders to isolate power to the front or rear end while modulating power via Kawasaki’s Variable Front Differential Control on the left handlebar.
A-arm suspension offers 7.5 inches of travel in the rear and get reinforced mounting points on the chassis and the rear stabilizer mounts, engine mounts and footrest mounts are all beefed up as well. Double-wishbone suspension features adjustable shocks up front with 6.7 inches of travel. The shock absorbers have also been mounted at an increased angle in relation to the upper and lower wishbones to provide more ground clearance.
As one of Kawasaki’s flagship ATV models, the Brute Force is also a workhorse capable of towing 1250 lbs. Bodywork for the hood, fenders, bumper and headlight area are all re-designed to offer rugged looks, and other new design elements include dual 35-watt headlights and a covered hood storage compartment. The cargo racks have also been improved by adding tie-down hook points and 25% larger tubing throughout for a stronger design capable of carrying 264 lbs. Its five-gallon fuel tank is positioned underneath the seat to maintain its center of gravity, and aluminum footpegs help keep overall weight down. For those looking to tweak-out their Brute Force, Kawasaki offers a full line of expansion options. A new set of black, six-spoke cast aluminum wheels come standard wrapped in 25-inch tires.
