The ulcers keep piling on for the warden of the MotoUSA asylum. With the inmates running rampant around the globe, Hutch has opted to get in on the madness more these days than in years past and is back in the saddle again.

Despite the added grip the brake remains easy to use and safe even when the road surface gets hazardous.

BMW revealed that Husqvarna will be announcing a new street legal motorcycle at the Milan Motorcycle Show later this year. Although details were kept to a minimum, a representative from BMW announced that a Twin-cylinder street bike that fuses German engineering with Italian styling is all but ready to be released to the public. The term “High Emotional Design” was used to describe the first road model to be produced with effort from both companies.
While we would love to see a new small bore Adventure Touring bike with real off-road prowess we doubt BMW would go head to head with its own F800GS. However, the AT market is one of the few that has sustained growth in these difficult times. Members of the International Press that were on hand seem to be split between the possibility of a rival to the venerable Ducati Monster in an effort to get a piece of their pie that the F800R might otherwise grab or an entry-level Sportbike like the new Honda CBR250R that would open the door in a completely new market segment.
Remember that BMW is really into conquest sales where they steal market share from rival OEMs by offering bold designs when no one else is willing to do so. We can speculate all we want but in the end we will all have to wait until Milan to see what they have been up to the past couple years.
