Leesburg, Florida, is busy preparing for the thousands of motorcyclists who will be converging on their town next week for the 15th annual Leesburg Bikefest.
The rally season is in full swing and the 15th Leesburg Bikefest kicks off April 7th with 40 free concerts on eight stages, the Rat’s Hole Bike Show, Wall of Death, Extreme Bike Demos, and plenty of contests, from bikinis to tattoos. There’s also a Mr. Lucky Man Contest and plenty more rally fun in store.
Admission is free to all venues and all concerts. The musical lineup will be highlighted by Slaughter who will play at 9 p.m. Friday night, and Jackyl at 9:30 p.m. Saturday with opening act, The Greg Billings Band (formerly of Stranger) at 6:30 p.m. Also on stage Saturday night will be the AC/DC tribute-band Highway to Hell.
Traffic on Main Street in Leesburg, Florida will be “Motorcycles-Only” during the rally, April 7 to 10. The event draws 200,000 to 300,000 bike enthusiasts to the little town in Central Florida.
Leesburg is also home to the World Famous Rat’s Hole Museum. See over four decades of art and motorcycles at the museum. Admission is free.
Leesburg Bikefest will kick off at Gator Harley-Davidson at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 7th with a full lineup of vendors and entertainment. The Opera House Saloon Early Arrival Party is on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. while The Rat’s Hole Bar is holding its Kick Off Party also on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m., hosted by Rider NOW Magazine.
The Rat’s Hole Custom Bike Show will be held Saturday, April 9, with 22 classes of custom motorcycles competing. Radical Randy will be emceeing the show, the beautiful Miss Ratmate models will be there too and a tattoo contest will be held during the show.
